For over a hundred years this shop on Matlock Street has been the home of the traditional Bakewell Tart, right in the heart of the Peak District. The counter holds the classics: the traditional tart, the Iced Cherry Bakewell Tart, and the Bakewell Pudding, which you can only find here in Bakewell. Alongside them sit our award-winning pies, cakes, local jams, biscuits and other sweet treats, including local favourites like the Homity Pie, the Huntsman Pie and the Dales Pasty.

We are a coffee house as much as a tart shop, so there is always a pot of English Breakfast Tea or a well-made coffee to go with your slice. If you cannot call in, we send tarts and puddings across the country in our post-a-tart boxes, with free delivery when you order online.
